Aargh, this book. Parts of it floored me for its depth but in other areas it was too much. Too much drama. Too much angst. Repetitive in verse. I would be on the verge of feeling...all the feels, and then "boom" they'd be ripped away from me by too much of a 'good' thing. I liked it in places. I loved it in others. Sometimes I would shake my head and wish it hadn't gone so far. Basically, it defies a rating.

I love this series and this book with the intense, gripping emotions it portrays. Lyrik and Tamar's story is one of those epic loves, a once in a lifetime kind of love. You will be intoxicated and intrigued by their story you won't want it to end. I couldn't put this book down and I devoured these pages like my life depended on it! Can't wait for the next book!

Lyrik and Tamar were yet another beautiful addition to the series. Just brilliant. This book brought on so many emotions for me! We've obviously already met both of these characters in the previous books, but what we don't see is the depth to these characters. In this book we learn EVERYTHING about them - both characters have so many layers and we really discover them as individuals and as a couple.
Honestly, I will read anything that A. L Jackson writes! I strongly suggest you read the rest of the series first, and when you get here you will enjoy the story to it's full potential.

FANTABULOUS

If you've read into this series this far, you know this series follows the rock band Sunder and it's members. While there's a lot of funny moments, at the core is some very broken people. Very very broken, either by their own actions with the consequences that follow or just life moments, how sometimes really crappy shit happens. This books couple, Lyrik and Tamar (Blue or sometimes Red) are running from what I call, the wreckage of your past. You can't run forever, it either catches up with you, and it always does or you decide, in a brave moment, to run head first at it. Either way, it comes full force. This was a heartbreaking story of two people that have lost pretty much everything, including themselves, and the ass kicking road back to live a life without looking into that damn rear view mirror. You've gotta come to terms with what's behind you, so you can live. There are some consequences that last forever, you cannot change it, you can, however, learn to actually forgive your own self, make amends and really live with what you've got. This is that story, and it's so so good. You may need Kleenex. A.L. Jackson, you are amazing and you are a QUEEN!!! Book lovers, you've gotta read it, but start from beginning, you don't want to miss a moment of this series. All Hail The Queen!!!!

This book was everything! I was so engrossed by Tamar and Lyrik, I just couldn't get enough of them.
Their story has so many layers and so much emotion. I loved how rich the story was, I felt for these two. They both have some heavy stuff of their shoulders and they are both just trying to survive.
I adore the chemistry these two have and how protective they are of each other. Lyrik and Tamar click on such a deep level and really see who they are underneath. I loved reading as they stripped their layers and we got to learn all the more about them.
I did not want to put this huge book down! So stinkin good!

Where do I begin?? Where Lighting Strikes.. It was so different than what I was expecting, yet so much more. Lyrik.. Tamar.. Red.. Blue.. Dark.. Light.. Scared to move forward and too ashamed to look back. They have secrets that break their hearts and spirits. Can they save each other when they can't save themselves?? Can they heal each other? Will they each find the strength they need to be with each other, not to give up!!
The chemistry these 2 have is off the charts. This story had everything. Laughter, sarcasm, hurt, tears and joy.
This story will stay with me for a long time... I thank A.L. Jackson for this beautiful and inspiring story! You sing my soul!!
