Wow! This was refreshing.

I love comics as a medium, and have been trying out the superhero genre for the last two months, but damnnnn I missed a standalone story. I haven't read a vertigo series since Preacher and this one lived up to the hype in my book. I didn't want to put it down and have already gotten my hands on copies of 2-5.

The premise is catchy and a bit simplistic, but this creative team did it write. I like the structure and pacing as well as the twists.

Didn't expect the villains to basically be a TERF cult but damnnn that's cool. Some of this is a big too much of an angry lesbian stereotype but I like it. Rah rah girl power and all that. I like the realism of the government and infrastructure being in shambles because women have been kept away from those positions of power.

Yorick is a bit immature but not too much. He's likable enough and I think he's making some pretty understandabl choices. Hero being brainwashed is interesting and I hope he doesn't have to kill her in the end, but that'd be cool. The monkey is like a prop but a fun one. 355 is the best and I hope she and Dr Mann hook up.

Also interested in the mystery of why all the men died. Currently hoping that storyline is resolved well because I genuinely don't know what's next in this series or anything about how it ends and I look forward to this ride. I'm also probably gonna read the other stuff by this writer now.

This is just a really good first volume.

This story is fascinating and I'm invested! I'm a Saga fan and Brian K. Vaughan doesn't hold back with the violence here either, aha. I like Yorick. He's a bit of a dumbass at times, but *shrug* that's part of his charm! I admit I'm not hugely invested in the characters yet, but I mean this is the beginning of it all. But I need all the answers to the why (Y? punny?) of it all; so I'm looking forward to the rest.

Oh good, another series for me to get addicted to. Cool concept, basically the inverse of Frank Herbert's "White Plague". I'll keep reading, and hopefully find out what's actually going on!

Wow. I like everything that Brian K Vaughn writes so I knew I was going to like this, but if it keeps up like this I might have a new favorite.
The first couple of issues are a little hard to get into, but once we get going we get going.
There were some parts that I thought were a little rushed, but the characters themselves are amazing.
As always excellent writing is too be expected

Only ok at first, but picks up in terms of character development towards the end.

Some stuff has not aged very well (the way trans men are talked about) although sadly probably accurate to the time. However, it's a romp and I'll probably persevere.

Todos los XY murieron y las XX se mantuvieron vivas. Con este suceso se vino el caos y un nuevo orden mundial.
