This series honestly keeps getting better… I know I keep saying that but it is so true! At one point I was yelling “no way” and shocked at things as they unraveled.

Update: 5/22
I think Queen of Shadows has moved up in my ToG ranking! I forgot how much happened in this book! From Aelin and Aedion reuniting to Elide being introduced and more, it was action-packed without a dull moment.
I love how the book is broken up into two parts, the first of which, Aelin has to confront Arobynn, the man who took her in and trained her as an assassin but often had secret plans of his own. It is in this part that Aelin is finally able to shed Celaena Sardothien once and for all. We also have Lysandra becoming a bigger player in Aelin's court and Rowan's arrival in Rithfold.

The second part of the book focuses on Aelin's plan to bring magic back to their land. It involves some classic Aelin schemes that make all the men in her life want to strangle her. We also see more of Manon's arc as she is forced to see the true wicked nature of her grandmother, and we see her cold heart soften with Elide's presence.

This book's ending was beautiful and made me tear up because, at long last, Aelin Ashvyer Galathinius was home in Terrsaen.
