I should have read the summary of the book before I started reading it. This was a pretty random choice. "Thinking Through Film: Doing Philosophy, Watching Movies" focuses much more on the philosophical aspects and discussions than in the films themselves. The films are just an example to the philosophical issues addressed. In that sense, I was a little disappointed. I thought that it would focus primarily on films. Seems to be an interesting book for readers interested in philosophy, that do not have very deep knowledge, and concurrently enjoy movies.
