I flew through this book! I couldn’t stop listening. It kept me guessing until almost the very end. I love Molly and cannot wait to tackle Nita’s second book.

Really enjoyed this read. Twisty and suspenseful, not what I expected at all. I was left speechless at times. Would recommend reading if you like thriller mysteries!

This book was cozy and enjoyable. I listened to it as an audiobook and was eager to keep listening which is why it only took a few days to finish. The main character is delightful and there is a great twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. I thought the main character/narrator’s perspective was really interesting.

Although the mystery was a bit predictable, there were still some surprising revelations - I really enjoyed the endearing characters

☆ Lovable ☆

The plot of The Maid focuses on a young girl Molly who works as a maid at a grand hotel and we are taken on a journey of her struggles to navigate through her life now that her closes friend and guardian has passed away. It is not until one of the most distinguished guests at the hotel dies and Molly is the first to discover the victim. From then on, it is a story of never-ending intrigue and mystery which just hooks you in until the very last page.

I have not loved a character as much as Molly in a while. She is innocent but not so much so that the reader is annoyed with her, which I thought was a realistic touch. I could not help but to root for her from the beginning. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can't wait until the next book in the series comes out.

I had assumed that the author of this book was neurodivergent, like her main character, and when I found out she wasn’t it seemed like such a weird choice, especially with the way she chose to write Molly, who reads like Amelia Bedelia most of the time. The mystery itself isn’t anything especially interesting, and if I wanted a charming British whodunnit I should have just re-read Thursday Murder Club

This is going to become one of my favorite books of all time. The story was so clever, full of twists and turns that I couldn't predict. But the highlight of the book was the narration. Molly Gray is such a well-written character. I feel like I know her as a friend. Her point of view was such an interesting way to view such a great story. This book has so many layers - and I already want to reread it. I already ordered the second book - I can't wait for more Molly Gray.
