I liked that the plot was not as predictable as it was lead to be and, at the end of it, it directly points it out to reveal the true plot and doing the job to keep you hocked.

I thought I would get tired of the MC because they already got together once but it surprisingly keep things fresh and new secrets appear to help understand every decision better and to feel more sympathy for the imperfect leads.

The rithm is beautiful and it kept me awake all night and I'm happy to go for the next one.

Many times in this book, I felt like I had already read this book. I haven’t. I guess the storyline feels super similar to either another one of her books or maybe like The Fourth Wing plus Velaris in the ACOTAR series.

Anyway, especially the part where Ash makes a deal with Veses to not tell Kolis about Sera, and Veses can feed from Ash whenever she wants. Then Sera catches them, and Veses comes to kill her after that.

That whole storyline felt like it had happened before in another book.

Overall, I liked it. I appreciated that it made sense when they got mad at each other, and

it was pretty sad when he said he wished he hadn’t removed his kardia because he knew he would have loved her.

I had such a hard time with this book. I loved the first one and gave it 5 stars. This one just dragged for me. I feel like 300 pages could have been removed and I would have gotten all I need from it. The spice was spicing but the conversations were overdone and lonnnnnngggg and never ending between characters. I felt like although the conversations were important for world building they were just done on information overload with small amounts of plot sprinkled in.
If you love world building and Character conversations (all characters not just between main characters) and spice. You will love this book.

Will I read book 3: ABSOLULTY!

Overall 3 but maybe 3.5 because I still love the characters and the world just not this book.

Spice 4/5 - there was a lot of it! 🔥🔥
