3.5! This was good particularly since I’m in my running phase of life. I’ve been in a reading slump and I think memoirs just don’t hit the same in a reading slump.
I like the insider look into the chaos but otherwise this book wasn't for me...felt like success (even with hard work) followed privilege due to the resources available (parents' funding, connections). Also what the heck why's he so mean to employees (not replying to letters and stuff).

Very interesting account of how a business is developed. In parts, it can become more business oriented but there is a sincere effort to make it more accessible to the general readers and not just those looking to start their own ventures.
The flow of the book is quite nice. It is a good read!

It took me a small while to jump into this story, — I had a hard time connecting with both the era + the author’s love of world travel — but, once I did, there was no setting it down. I love what this book, this company, this founder is all about. An introverted, social “outcast” unites a band of “misfits” + creates a product for the “cool kid” masses around the world. What an absolute twist of irony. This is a story of boldness, tenacity, risk, + ultimate triumph in the face of never-ending adversity. A story of victory—Athena Nike.
