I was kind of like ... eh ... once I finished this book. The way they progressed from meeting into the 'like' zone then onto 'caring' in the blink of eye had me slightly pulled back the whole rest of the book.

It wasn't a horrid story, but the overall flow of the book was somewhat sporadic and blotchy.

The saving grace for me was the hot skater boy persona. I liked the feel to Rory's character and it kept my attention long enough to finish.

I realized I've been lacking books with athletic main characters, so I had to correct that by grabbing this freebie. The cover might have helped make my decision as well, look at those abs.

Hindley Hagen is a young up and coming attorney. She's dragged along to celebrate her stepsister's bachelorette party at a club and has a bit too much to drink. And when I say a bit too much, I mean she gets plastered and strangers have to come to her rescue since her stepsister is evil. Lucky for her, a guy stuffs her in a cab and makes sure she gets home safely. I like Rory's character immediately, he has that protective, yet super sweet guy feel. He's also not afraid to stand up for what he believes in which made me smile in several instances. During those instances I was really disliking Hindley's family, which made me think a bit less of her for allowing that type of behavior to go on.

The two part ways after the wedding, and I was wondering how they'd wind up together again. I was happy to see Rory was in negotiations for his skateboarder/X Games contract and Hindley would be the one to help. We get a peek at both do their jobs, which was nice. Hindley even gets to see Rory on his skateboard which were nice touches to the book. In the end I think Rory Gregor stole the show, he has that badboy feel, but he's super sweet and caring. I kept waiting for the instance he'd turn into the bad boy with an attitude but it never really came. He was always pretty sweet, with a protective edge. The book itself was pretty good and I'd read book two to see what happens next. I'd recommend this if you're looking for an atheletic sweet guy.

The book itself was pretty well written, kept you entranced. I would recommend this book to others.
Hindley is very self conscious and unsure of her self worth. But she is beautiful, quiet and practically a doormat.
Her BFF, Dana is outspoken and I love her!!!
Rory, uneducated pro-skater. Also unaware of his self worth, but a extreme hot head.
Throughout the book, Hindley and Rory try to stay away from each other, but they are just so attracted to one another. I liked this and how it played out - for the most part. I got tired of all the hot and heavy then cold pushing away. I mean, I get it, I understand why I guess it was the how it was not the why of it.
I also believe that Rory apologized way way to much, Hindley has some serious emotional issues and gets upset over way too much. But then again Rory is a hothead.
But Overall very good book

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Although not a bad book I have to say this one is definitely not for me. I finished it and will read the next one because I won them on a giveaway a while back and I feel like I owe a review but I am hoping the next book is better than this one.
Here is my first issue, I normally love the inner dialogue from the characters because I love knowing what they are thinking but in this case I didn't care for it, in fact I skipped a lot of it because it felt like it was always something silly that they were thinking and I just didn't really care to read it.
****Bit of a SPOILER ahead****
My next issue is definitely Rory not being able to read, I just couldn't really believe it even if it's something that could be explained medically. He is in the spotlight because he is a pro-skater so he needs to do interviews and much more and specially in this age of technology when you even need to know how to read to send a text and use your phone, just didn't quite made sense to me. Also no one knows his secret except for a very few, idk about that...
I did like the characters, I liked Hindley and Rory and even their friends. I would have liked to know more about Rory's world, I wanted to read more about the skating part of the story not about the legal part from Hindley.
I did like how they met and definitely appreciated that the author didn't make the characters jump into a relationship right away and waited for the sex scenes till they knew more about each other.
The beginning of the story is really good and will suck you in so that is a big plus.
So, like I said, the story is not bad. Give it a try and see for yourself.
