At best, this book was like the movie Palm Springs. At worst, I wanted to start skipping chapters. And I usually love time travel and time loops! The ending was out of left field and was so glossed over & so much was left unexplained that it soured how I think of the book.

The love of this story is so much grander than romantic love. Don’t make the mistake of reading this with romance blinders on; this story is saturated in love; love for animal companions, the beginnings of romantic love, and a deep celebration of love between best friends which carries the whole story in my opinion.

After a slow start I really enjoyed this attempt at playing with time travel.

There is one bit with a dog that, if you're sensitive, might be rough.

It's nothing bad, but sad. Her dog in the final time loop dies of old age and is lovingly put to rest. I cried.
