A lovely companion piece to the first Mistborn series.  This provides some cool backstory as well as some closure that we touched on in the series, but is much more fully realized here.
It's a quick read and any more analysis deals with spoilers.  I'd heartily suggest it AFTER reading the first trilogy.

In the final Empire we see a lot of Kelsier through Vin. It mostly let us believe the facade he wanted us to believe. But I still loved him. Now that I know who the real Kelsier is, I love him more.

I understand that I should've started the 2nd era before reading this one but fortunately, this book will drive me to go on and read the Wax & Wayne series.

I love Fuzz. And I squealed in joy when Kelsier punched Ati (not that I hate him).

And Elend. Oh my Elend. Just a single scene and still he doesn't fail to capture my heart.
