It definitely did not meet my expectations for such a famous work. My recommendation is to read it quickly.

By far the best part of this book to me, was seeing the foundations of science fiction robotic stories. Some of the short story dynamics were uncomfortable with today’s standards, however, the mental gymnastics in the stories were just as fascinating now as they were 90 years ago when they were written.

The short stories in this collection are independent, so you can easily dip in an out, or choose to read just a couple. If you are going to read just one, I suggest you pick up Evidence.

Quote I like from the introduction: “50 years is a long time. Not when you are looking back on them.”

This was a boom club pick that I wasn't able to finish before we met up. I read the whole thing years ago when I was in middle or high school. I enjoyed it back then & I enjoyed now - but realistically I'm not super interested now that our book club already discussed it.
