Another reason why I love novellas (other than being super short and quick reads) is that they can be so funny. The Glowing Knight will make you laugh because it does have some pretty funny moments. I love reading more about Tobiah and he seems to be a crowd favorite. I'm definitely leaning on the 'FULL ON LOVE TOBIAH" than the hating part right now. I hope?

I loved reading more about his life and him being a vigilante. It's sad that he's just realizing that the people closes to him can betray him so easily. That's never fun to find out but it also happens a lot within books and in real life.

I just want more of Tobiah please!

Prince Tobiah’s parents are pushing him closer to the new girl at court, Meredith, but he is distracted by the attack on his favourite tutor, Knight. When Knight plans on meeting the person Tobiah believes attacked him, Tobiah sets out to discover what his tutor is mixed up in.

The Glowing Knight is the second novella in this series about Tobiah. This book is action-packed and a fun read even though it is dark and deals with drugs. Tobiah is courageous and wants to discover the truth, and I felt sorry for him and how his parents treat him. For a novella there are a lot of characters some we know from The Orphan Queen but also some new. I would recommend The Glowing Knight to people who have read the first novella and The Orphan Queen.

This second novella was a little more interesting than The Hidden Prince. I am starting to see more of the Tobiah I liked so much in The Orphan Queen.

In this novella, we really saw the beginning of Black Knife, while he was trying to uncover the truth about the Burning Hand, who organizes a business involving the firefly. It was highly enjoyable and gave new depths to the character, like the first novella.

The two chapters of The Mirror King were SO GOOD, but now I want the book SO BADLY. I might have a book hangover or something.

The Glowing Knight Review on K-Books

After completely devouring The Hidden Prince, I couldn't wait to read more and start The Glowing Knight. I felt like this novella was a little bit more slow-paced than the last one but that didn't really take anything away from my overall enjoyment of it.

Once again I loved seeing things from Tobiah's point of view. He is such a sweet and strong character who will just do anything to see things put right in the kingdom... even if it endangers his life. Although this novella was a bit more slow-paced I could see the storyline picking up and getting a little bit more dangerous and intricate. I cannot wait to read more of Tobiah's story.

This was an absolutely charming continuation of Tobiah's origin story. I love the idea of seeing him before he was the experienced vilangte that I know and love. Jodi Meadows pulled it off perfectly. And those chapters of THE MIRROR KING...soooooooooooooooooo much pain. Why can't it be 2016 yet?

The Glowing Knight is part hilarious part too short.

On the one hand you have Tobiah being all clumsy while trying to throw himself from one building to the next without breaking any bones, and trying to flee the police while investigating his professor and Lord Hensley. It is hilarious seeing him realize that tailing someone might require a bit more skill than what he anticipated.

It is also quite saddening to see him completely break out of his glass bubble and realizing old friends may betray, and not everything can be blamed on the mechanisms of only one man. His city is far more corrupt than he imagined, and he needs to get off his princely ass and do something about it. A huge task for such a sheltered prince, but as we very well know he will be more than apt for the it.

Until then, still hilarious seeing him blunder about his city with little to no training #VigilanteInTraining #NoSuperpowersToHelpHim #PleaseDoNotFall&Die
