Took me a bit to get into it, but I really enjoyed it once Angela started delving deeply into her personal story. I hope to be a foster parent and found Angela’s experience and perspective very enlightening. Once in a while I felt the language was a bit to erudite for me, but generally it was approachable!

As a transracial adoptee who has always felt isolated from the communities I grew up in, it’s so amazing to see that other people have had the same thoughts and feelings that I have.
Angela Tucker is really great at intertwining facts into her personal narrative and her experiences with other adoptees.
