I had high hopes that this book would be more unhinged and exciting based on the synopsis—Orthodox Jewish girl has a porn addiction. It just fell short for me.

As someone who grew up in a similar sect of hasidic orthodoxy, I didn't find this book very funny at all. I appreciate tackling this subject matter, as it is too common and not spoken of enough, but I found the conclusion of the story to be very unsatisfying and somewhat reductive of the entire story and message preceeding it. Honestly it just made me very sad, but I think that says more about my specific brand of trauma than it does anything else.
