“As long as there is a beat in my heart and breath in my lungs, you’ll never be alone.”

I am such a fan of Devney Perry's writing and the first book in her Calamity Montana series is yet another great example of it. Lucy Ross is on the run from her life as a mega famous country singer and a chance encounter with Sheriff Duke Evans sets her heart racing (or that could be the bison in the way of the trail she's hiking!). However, when Lucy encounters Duke in Calamity, she realises that her secret might not stay that way. This book had lots of twists and turns that kept me turning the pages. Add in the great chemistry between Duke & Lucy and this was a book I couldn't put down. I am loving small town Calamity and I cannot wait to read more in this series.

I am CONVINCED she puts crack in these books. There is just something about them!! This was such a sweet and fun (despite the dark stuff) read. I can’t wait to dig more into this series.

Loved this small town romance. It had the one of us is famous trope and I really liked how complex Lucy and her relationship with music was. Duke was just amazing and though it was a bit insta lovey, I thoroughly enjoyed my time and can’t wait to continue the series.
