My gosh was this an amazing storyline & plot! Omg and the cliffhanger at the end!!! Just wow my feelings were everywhere! My hurt ached for Iris and Roman! I loved how they were rivales at work for the same position but then he falls hard for her while she thought she was mailing letters to her brother.
Mailing letter feels so romantic and old fashioned that it reminded me of one bf I did that with and just loved the feeling of every day having a new response.
This whole storyline was just amazing and the world building has my heart aching the whole way until she finds her brother. The twist at end had me almost crying & on a chokehold.
I definitely need a physical copy to have as a trophy! 📚📖

I liked the story, but struggled to get truly vested and engaged until about page 148. Then I was very much needing to know what happened and picked up my reading pace.

I like that there is a touch of magic and realism, along with mythology. While it's a little challenging to get a grasp of the world and time in general, it's also nice that there isn't a ton of time wasted on elaborate world building.

I liked the friends to enemies trope and some of the romantic things in the book.

LOVED the audiobook of this! Beautiful book that delves into a budding relationship and the troubles of a war with the gods. My only qualm was that it was a tad boring at parts, and I wish the book was more fantasy. But I expect to see a more fantasy based plot in the next book considering the cliffhanger this one had!
