I put off reading this book because I heard it was a romantasy, and there are just so many of that (pretty much the same story) around these days. But I was wrong, this book is nothing like the others. This is an enemies to lovers book where the rivals are connected by more that just their job and everything changes for them as the war between the gods gets closer.

This was such a great read from start to finish. Heavily reminded me of Violet Evergarden so much.

A thoroughly charming love story. I'm picky about romance and I really liked how this book had a grounded take on love. Plenty of time for characters to pine and for tension to build.

Literally only knocked off .5 stars because the beginning is quite slow and boring. I also feel like the romance between the MCs was a little too jarring but we were dropped in after they had already known each other for a handful of months. 

But after that I was completely enthralled and finished the book in 1 sitting. 

It is currently 3 am and I still cannot sleep despite finishing the book over an hour ago. Please read this book I am BEGGING YOU!!
