I really loved "The Power", and "The Future" has solidified Naomi Alderman as an author who I will continue to pick up as a huge fan of dystopia and futurism. "The Future" features a fun-to-read cast of tech billionaires who can save themselves at the end of the world, and one hell of a plot twist. It also spoke to my recent interest in bunkers, as the billionaire bunkers Alderman describes herein are basically the HGTV dream homes of prepping lolz. I would imagine Alderman had to do a lot of research to spin out the AI technology she writes about here, and it was worth it. 4.5 stars - 5 stars until I felt like the last 150 pages dragged a bit.
