I’m not a big middle grade reader, but I wanted to branch out a little bit this pride month. This book was so cute and gave me mama bear anxiety.  Not only could I really relate to this awkward, lonely little kid, but I can see my kids aging into a Noah like character.  I would do anything to keep them from feeling that level of sadness, but of course, you can’t protect the ones you love from life happening.

This is a really sweet and soft book about dealing with grief, and friendship, and identity, all told in verse.
