What a great read. Lots of names to keep track of but after I did that the pages turned real fast. I'm not good at writing book reports but some topics in the book include: North & South Korea, China, US, US President, Chad, Libya, cocaine, people smuggling, CIA, love stories, love triangles, kids, gold mine, slave camp, Cruise missiles, Bombers, Atomic weapons, DEFCON 4, 3, 2, 1, cellphone tracker, titanium wire with wooden handles sewn into a cotton sash with wooden handles (a garotte), chemical warfare, nuclear war..., secret compartment in boot to conceal cell phone, and more. Read it if you can!

Very different from everything else Follett has published. Scared the hell out of me! That ending!
What an intense book. Ken Follett creates a perfect picture of everything that could go wrong with accurate detail. What a techno thriller ride. Worth the read. I won’t say anything else as to have no spoilers. But this right here is why we need smart people in government. Even then, things can go wrong. I fear for us because right now we have an idiot in office.
Depressingly, terrifyingly realistic in describing how easily escalation can lead to all out nuclear war.
