I found this to be a pleasant read and felt glimmers of relatability sprinkled throughout the text but I felt like it started off a lot stronger than it ended and ended w/ a kind of hazy unfinished message

I thought there were really beautiful and insightful moments in this. I found it challenged me to consider life experiences that were far removed from my own.

The main character says a lot of things beautifully and puts familiar feelings into words in a way that I enjoyed. However I often felt bored and irritated by her, like she was a friend I needed a break from. Reading this book was sometimes l like trying to talk to someone who can’t or won’t make eye contact with you.

I loved this book. Having grown up in a multi-generational home, this book easily navigated the intricacies of those relationships. I wish I could read it again for the first time.
