So I've actually been finished with this book for about a week now, but I just couldn't write a review; I was still processing. I mean this was phenomenal, I have no other word to describe it. This is definitely going on my favorites list - I just was so blown away be the writing and the characters, and I was so immersed in the world. The psychological aspect was so powerful, and I could barely take my eyes away from the book during some parts. I just got a box set of Dostoevesky's other books, and I am definitely looking forward to reading some more of his books. Also, I think this book has set me down the path of Russian literature, and I am so looking forward to this journey.

no wonder this book is a well-known classic. it's beautifully constructed and extremely interesting. a bit of a tough read but well worth it. all of the characters have very diverse beliefs and it's interesting seeing it discussed and how dostoevsky himself doesn't seem to venture too far one way or the other, though i think it's fair to say his beliefs most likely align closely to out protagonist. amazing story, loved it :3

Forgot I read this last semester lol

Great story and a fascinating insight into the mind of Raskolnikov, not a huge fan of Dostoevskys writing style, cannot pronounce 80 percent of the names but it was fun to try.

A heavy read that immerses the reader deep into the lead character’s (Raskolnikov) psyche, which is riddled with melancholy, depression, desperation and inner turmoil after committing a brutal act. It’s hard to say this was an enjoyable read but it is definitely a great one that will leave you pondering long after reading.

me encanta que raskolnikov sea tan lúcido a veces y luego se desmaye por cualquier cosa
