I enjoyed this, but it wasn't my favorite Tessa Bailey book. I'd recently read a piece of fan fiction with a little too much toxic jealousy that I found triggering, so when Julian started in on some caveman-like thoughts it turned me off pretty quickly. Julian was bad, I just think I wasn't in the right headspace to be reading this. I kept reading because I wanted to like this, but I was having trouble connecting with it.
I am looking forward to reading book two. There were definitely some juicy tidbits seeded in this book for the future couple.
