I loved this duology! Unpopular opinion, I liked the first one better. BUT they were both so so good!

I will love Iris and Roman til the day I die. Write that down, it's fact. I loved the role reversal with the letters, and I loved the love conquers all trope in relation the the regaining of Roman's memories.

As a whole I really enjoyed this book. The writing was so much better than in the first book. However, there were a few instances where I wish there was a little more fleshing out, and scenes that I feel like we're a little rushed.

I adored this book. as someone who wasn’t a big fan of the first book I held on because it was a cliffhanger, and it paid off. I was so attached to these characters. The ending was longer than it needed to be though, I got bored.

this book was very slow at the start and it just felt like there were so many quick moments that i drastically held on to for dear life to get me through it. the writing is beautiful as always, but there was just something that was missing in this sequel. i just felt like there had to be just something more with the plot than what i was getting i think. i do love iris and roman's relationship. they both are so well spoken and witnessing two writers love is so sweet.

Loved this - unsure why I kept hearing the vibes were different/bad from book one but glad to know they were wrong
