I enjoyed this witchy romance read even though that the writing style is not my favorite. A fun read for Halloween time with a likable main character and interesting family backstories

I was entertained but it felt like it was too drawn out for what actually happened.

2.75/5 I really hated the Jennifer Coolidge impersonator impersonating an audiobook narrator. So cringy. But the story was cute and witchy and naughty

'Goddess, we beseech you to make him the kind of man who will forever think the clitoris is exactly one third of an inch away from where it actually is.' - SOLD ME IN CHAPTER ONE. Slightly predictable but I'm a sucker for second chance romance. An appropriately spooky and dark-academia book for an October read and just what I needed to take my mind off my fucking research proposal. The climax at the end was a bit too fast-paced imo; some of the mutual pining could have been replaced by some more mysetry plot. But it was a fun read, and the characters were really compelling. I'm very excited to read Gwyn's instalment.

Perfect little Halloween read to get you in the mood for my personal favorite holiday! It was cute, the smut was good but nothing earth shattering.. perhaps it was because the chemistry and tension didn’t feel built up enough?

This feels like a theme throughout the book. Many mini storylines and things happening but quickly even too easily resolved. Perhaps having less and focusing on some main storylines would’ve made this Abbot deeper and gotten me more emotionally involved.

Overall, this was cute and a great Halloween read!

Happy Samhain witches! ☺️
