Her body slammed into something. She must have blacked out briefly from the pain. When she could see again, she realized that she’d fallen partway into the pit and was dangling over the void. Percy had managed to grab a ledge about fifteen feet below the top of the chasm. He was holding on with one hand, gripping Annabeth’s wrist with the other, but the pull on her leg was much too strong.”
“We’re staying together,” he promised. “You’re not getting away from me. Never again.”
Only then did she understand what would happen. A one-way trip. A very hard fall.

I read this book on my kindle and therefore could not see when I had reached the last page; I thought I had just finished one of at least two more chapters. So, when I turned the page and saw a page that said what the next book would be called, I screamed, "WHAT?! NO!" And since then, I have been on the look out for the next book. It comes out on October 8th, for those that care.

Ada Sudut pandang Annabeth! Adu adu reunian Percabeth kuulang sampai 4 kali,dan masih bikin semriwing huhu, dan memang Percy sudah benar2 tumbuh berkembang dan mendewasa, jika mengingat di PJO, kadang rindu Percy yg silly boy. Tida apa, character development Percy membuat jumpalitan. Dan semakin kesini kumakin sadar bahwa ku tida suka Piper, meskipun dia digambarkan cantik dan berbahaya tapi tetap saja isi kepalanya didominasi Jason ini, Jason itu, bla bla, atau mungkin kumemang tak cocok dg anak Aphrodite (Iya iya, kumemang subjektif, maaf deh). Dan memang kode2 tersembunyi penyusun tensi cerita epik banget sih sampe kepikiran sedetail itu, Om Rick, izinkan kuberguru padamu *siram ambrosia. Seperti yg kutemukan di Pinterest, buku ini berakhir dg menyebalkan krn kujadi ingin baca lanjutan, semoga ada kejutan.

Suffers a little from (1) too many POV characters (though it was good to get more time with Annabeth, and Riordan made an interesting choice NOT to have Jason as one of the POVs) (2) Riordan's clunky attempts to write romance. Overall, could have used a little more humor to balance the adventure.
On the bright side, the throwaway John Green joke made me laugh and laugh.
