Powerful book on the abolition of state/empire and global capitalism as part of a revolutionary, liberatory process.
The author touches on so many important issues, including:
-the lack of a true political left in the so-called US
-the illusion of choice in the US one-party system
-the reproduction of hierarchies when pursuing capitalist notions of success (e.g., the desire to be wealthy) and royal associations
-the misguided idolization of individual leaders and nation-states
-the long history of anarchist practices in Black (and Indigenous) communities
"We must be ungovernable masses to create a society where safety and abundance rule over us, not violence."
"The answer to state violence is not a new or reformed state, it's operating beyond and surpassing the expired relevance of such a destructive formation."
"Absolutist approaches destroy possibility."
