I honestly loved this book. It includes conversations about god but not in a way that pushes it upon you. The teacher student-ish dynamic wasn’t the entirety of the plot and I loved that. Even when it was involved there never seemed to be a power imbalance. The concept was unique and addressed in a way that wasn’t problematic. It had good spice. Overall, a great book.

This was a fun read, especially for getting out of a reading slump. It was really angsty, and the characters worked really well together. Really good if you like enemies to lovers, teacher/student (but not gross), and steamy ready. Definitely not as steamy as some others I've read by this author, but it is def there.

I couldn’t stop reading, and I am happy I picked it up on a rainy Saturday with nothing else to do so I didn’t have to stop!
I started to suspect pretty soon that Rachel was the little girl that Caine kept talking to, and I kept telling him that he did the right thing coming back and listening! I feel the struggle he had within himself dragged on a little bit, but at the same time it also made so much sense that it took a while and some soul searching before he could finally tell Rachel.

Beautiful story, much more meaningful than I expected going in.
