I cried reading this book, which I really didn't expect especially seeing how the first book Priest went. The scene was the one near the end when Tyler looks at Sean and asks, "Did you feel it too?" as they're crying. I cried with them because it was such a beautiful scene and because I obviously very much loved Tyler and grew to lvoe Sean because of this story. I'm excited to read the next one and figure out what happened between Aiden and Elijah!

Honestly I love Sierra Simoneā€™s books. I love how much depth the characters have, despite the book being labeled as erotica. Iā€™m not usually someone who likes dark books, but I related to
watching someone you love die of cancer. However, I am sad that the two women in the family have now passed away. The mom really had a tragic life, with her young daughter dying of suicide which she was still grieving in ā€œPriest,ā€ and then being diagnosed and passing away from cancer. I did find it odd that we didnā€™t hear much about the work project that started all of this to begin with. I understand that there were enough other obstacles, so the FMC and MMC did not need to fight about the monastery, but I thought this would come into play much more than it did. We barely hear about it in the end. I also was not a fan of the FMC becoming pregnant so young. I honestly donā€™t really like hearing about pregnancy at all for some reason. But I felt like Sean kind of robbed Zenny of her 20s by getting her pregnant so soon. Itā€™s one thing to marry her young, itā€™s another thing to get her pregnant so young. I know heā€™s much older so time was important, but even a few years would have been better. I did really enjoy the acknowledgement of racism and Seanā€™s privilege. I thought Sierra Simone handled this well.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am enjoying this series.

The first part of the book starts out predictable like other smutty books. Then out of nowhere youā€™re hit with tense waves of concern and contemplation.

Beautiful.

I know I said Priest was amazing, but somehow Sinner is even better. I related to Sean and Zenny  a lot more than Tyler and Poppy, I guess thats because Iā€™m no longer religious despite being the daughter and granddaughter of ministers? Either way the spice is incredible and damn it I definitely have a teacher/student kink šŸ˜…
