i liked the first book of the series better, if for no other reason than i don’t know how i feel about age gap and virgin/playboy tropes. you do uncover more of the Bell family lore though and
i had tears in my eyes every time he talked about his mom. her dying slowly throughout the whole book is heartbreaking

there were also a few cringey moments both in and out of the smut scenes which i didn’t experience with priest

although it took me over a year to finish priest (i kept forgetting it was in my apple books library ok sue me), I flew through this within days. I don’t know what it is about this book, I don’t know what fucking crack cocaine, Sierra Simone put into these goddamn words, but it works. It works real well.

I cried reading this book, which I really didn't expect especially seeing how the first book Priest went. The scene was the one near the end when Tyler looks at Sean and asks, "Did you feel it too?" as they're crying. I cried with them because it was such a beautiful scene and because I obviously very much loved Tyler and grew to lvoe Sean because of this story. I'm excited to read the next one and figure out what happened between Aiden and Elijah!
