I should preface this by saying that I am a Lana fan.
I'm relatively new to poetry, it's something that has always interested me, however, I didn't know how i should read it, or what it really was.
Lana explained her poetry and what it is to be a poet. The simplicity of her philosophy was beautiful and she writes with grace.
This collection inspired me to read more poetry and to write some of my own.
I listened to this on audio and also read the poems as they are. Both times I felt different things and enjoyed it just the same.
I recommend Lana's poetry whether you like her music or not, there is something to gain through her metaphors and writing. That's what I think at least.

I did not like this at all. I was super pumped for it as I loooove her music, but honestly, it was a drag to finish. I found The concepts weren’t sophisticated, and some of the formatting and style felt incomplete and trying too hard. Hard pass on ever reading this again.

I’m biased because I love Lana Del Rey, but I can admit some of these made me laugh. Most of the poems I found beautiful, and my favorite was The Land of 1000 Fires.
If I’m going to keep on living the way that I’m living I can’t do it without you.
highly recommend listening to the audiobook - lana deal rey’s cadence paired with the soft music and sounds in the background is immaculate to listen to.
