Definitely start reading the book just a little bit before spring and get ready to feel The Magic.

It was a good little read. This classic novel was light, thoughtful and nostalgic. I love the idea of the power of positive thinking. Will definitely share this book with my own kids.

5 stars for the story, 1 stars for the offensive language. This book has not aged well. I was eager to share one of my childhood favorites with my kids. Between the colonialism, racism, ableism, and frequent use of the word “queer” as a pejorative, I had to do a lot of pausing to explain, “This is not ok!”

Holds up well. Carrie Hope Fletcher narrates this well. Her talents are better suited here than in Bad Cinderella
