Overall, this book provides an insightful look into sustainable building practices, pointing out pros and cons of various sustainability topics pertaining to building a house. Going through each step in the building process, it lays out the buyer/builders options, explains them, and gives recommendations for what would be sustainable. I found that this book is likely geared towards a somewhat knowledgeable reader as there some topics and phrases that were very technical, but for the majority of the book, I was able to understand most of the concepts laid out. The main thing I found as a negative of the book was that it did drag certain topics on for a while, however, that seemed to be the nature of the information presented given its complexity.
