I rarely rate a book this low. I feel bad actually doing it, particularly if it is something everyone else seems to have enjoyed. I've tried to read this author's books before without much luck but this one had such stellar reviews.
My problems with it include:
- There was no conflict.
- It romanticized suicide.
- Insta-love (which I absolutely hate)
- The time period of the book was completely ignored.
- The love story spanning decades just didn't gel with me for these two.
- The controlling nature of the beginning of the relationship.
- Making a book span decades for no real reason doesn't make it epic.
- The over romanticized EVERYTHING
I'm so irritated by all of this and the fact that the ending had nothing to redeem it, it was tacky and I felt awful for Autumn and Robert.
