Frederick Chase IS Moriarty. Mind blown. They spent the whole book trying to find out whose connected to Moriarty and there he is playing his role as a Pinkerton detective. Lol. He didn’t have to shoot Athelney Jones. He was becoming his closest friend. Straight up betrayal
