As odd as this sounds, this gory little treasure reminded me a bit of Pirandello's 'Six Characters...'. What happens when what is created and controlled has the chance to go free? What is the character without the story? According to these writers, the characters are nature at its most deranged and violent. What fun!
Had to put this one down - it was horrifically disturbing, "allegory" or not.
Way darker than I expected. So much so that it kind of put me off.
