I’ve read dozens of Discworld novels (just learned that this one took me 49 weeks lol), but I feel like I’m still sinking into how much is happening in them. Like here we have a football origin story that’s also about the shifting political landscape of Ankh-Morpork and then there’s still 100 threads from other books. Some I know about like Pratchett’s eternal bullying of Rincewind and the Oblong Office joke, but then others like whatever is happening with Margotta is a mystery to me. I love reading these radically out of order and just being immersed in the world and the humour and the insightfulness. I dunno. I love it.
