As a San Francisco native, I give this book my stamp of approval. I recommend this book to anyone struggling with our dystopian capitalistic reality. You are not crazy, life sucks.
Moderate: Drug use
Minor: Abortion and Panic attacks/disorders

Not clever or insightful, just jaded and going for shock value. Plus, the narrator had a flat tone that I couldn’t get into.

Having suffered from depression and working a corporate job this book was so relatable to me. It really captured a lot of my own feelings about working a job in a city and how bleak our capitalist society is. Definitely not one to read if you're currently depressed.
Graphic: Suicide, Abortion, and Fire/Fire injury

DNF about a chapter in. The black hole metaphor and godawful literary prose made it clear this is not the Silicon Valley critique I’ve been waiting for.
