minimal spoilers here: 

this book is spicy right from chapter 1, but with enough plot mixed in to keep me interested.  I actually had a hard time putting this book down! I loved that the men had history and interacted on their own (sadly the first person POV limited our knowledge of those scenes, but there was definitely enough other sex to make up for it!). satisfied with the ending

I also have previously read the Dragons Bride and kraken sacrifice... so now need to read the Gargoyles captive to know the rest of Grace's story!

 Dubious consent does not cover it- this book, especially at the beginning, had full blown sexual assault. I was not a fan. It's also really clear that the author took 3 mini books and shoved them together without editing anything? There was lots of points throughout the second and third sections where the narration would review what just happened...in the same book.

Just bad writing. Honestly I'm shocked, I usually love Robert books but this was a huge miss for me. And I am a vampire girly! Welp- they can't all be winners.

the main character was honestly insufferable. Almost 200 pages into the book and there was next to no plot development. The third male love interest was intolerable, and the "sex" scenes between many of the characters were barely consensual despite repeated insistence of them being consensual, even though it was stated that the FMC could not give actual consent or be an active and willing participant due to the nature of her partners. Overall, it was poorly written and repetitive and made very little progress towards this main plot point they kept alluding to despite being almost halfway through the book. I know many people thoroughly enjoyed this book, but I just don't think it's for me.

I wouldn’t say this book was life-changing, by any means…but the characters were fun and the smut was good. Solid read if you’re looking for a blush-worthy vampire romance!

Spicy. Spicy. Spicy. 🌶️ A tale of broody, sexy vampires, silly seraphim, and their undying bond with one another. Romantic and sexy at the same time. Thoroughly enjoyed this one!
