Ok so my mind is blown.
I didn’t see anything coming.

It is the love story between two young adults, enemies to lovers… but it becomes so much more.
Ryan is a real softie inside out. And Emily is a fierce sassy woman who doesn’t take any shit from anyone.

Their story is wrap up in this book but the epilogue opens more doors… so I guess I move on to the next book. Gladly.

Ryan Hardy and his band of misfits aka Renaissance Men are the kings of Sandland. Some hate them, others love them or want to be them, but no matter what, most respect them. Ryan and the guys have a plan they are putting together that revolves around Emily and her family and while plotting things out they realize she may be the key to it all.
They come from the wrong side of the tracks while Emily comes from wealth and the public spotlight, complete opposites or so they think. Ryan starts to seep under Emily’s skin and Emily fights him every step of the way which made their push and pull fun to watch. When things start to shift and feelings become confusing the attraction is too much to fight, they realize that everyone carries a pain some you can see and others you can’t, but it doesn’t make it any less painful and they find comfort with each other because of that. While Emily could hold her own against Ryan there were times Emily’s superiority complex showed and knowing how the guys had a rough life/grew up she still came off incredibly snobbish or insensitive, well to me she did.
The suspense kept me glued to my seat wondering how everything connected and I loved the side characters so much. I will say this I started this series completely not in order, what can I say I’m strange that way, but I started with Finn’s story then on to my favorite Soldiers of Briton Manor and I realized I was extremely happy that I did because while I love every character of both groups a few shocked me with how much I wasn’t a fan in the first two books.
When I read this book, I realized Emily could have handled things way better at the end with a certain someone realizing they were hurting too and for being known as such a caring person she came off as an @$$ to me and I found myself so mad at her for how things went down even knowing she wasn’t all to blame for it. Then in this story Liv. Liv is a character I LOVE because I read Psycho first and she just was meant for Adam, but in this book, I was upset with myself because I hated her. She came off as a selfish friend that was rude and acted out when she didn’t get her way or the attention wasn’t all on her, but I digress.
Overall, I love these series, the characters, but I will say I am so glad I read out of order and my anger towards some won’t linger lol.

They are the boys your mother always warned you about....

Personally, I didn’t really like how the story played out and didn’t enjoy the main characters. However, that’s just MY personal opinions

I would say this is a PERFECT read for readers who love romance/dark/contemporary.

Contains situations of a violent and sexual nature, suitable for readers 18 years and over. Trigger warnings also.

Renegade Hearts by Nikki J Summers is a new adult romance and the first book in the Rebels of Sandland series.

The book does come with a warning "It does contain situations of a violent and sexual nature. Therefore, it is only suitable for readers 18 years+. Please read the trigger warnings."

This is the first book of Nikki's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. This book had me hooked from the very beginning. I loved the chemistry between Emily and Ryan throughout the book. I really enjoyed that we got Emily, Ryan, and Brandon points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

I can't wait for the next book in the series Tortured Souls to be released on November 12, 2020 so I can get Brandon's story.

I would highly recommend this book if you like new adult romances, enemies to lovers, or bully romance.

Every mother worse nightmare, the boys you were warned about.
All the girls were drawn to the Bad Boys of Sandland that made their own rules.
All of them but Emily Winters!

Absolutely love the banter Emily disses out, especially to Ryan. She challenges him like no other girl ever has, Ryan finds her so hard to resist, but he's not the only one.

Omg that ending! Like wtf. You cant do that to us Nikki 😳 I definitely did not see that coming!
Literally cannot wait to dive into the next in the series, such amazing characters.
