I really enjoyed diary format and romance between Emma and Phoebe was cute but it was slow read.

Sapphic angsty teen journal. I liked it because the protag was relatable and the author allowed her to be angry. Phoebe learns to be less of a prick over time but I can see how it would be super annoying to other people. I liked seeing her growth though!

I really enjoyed how this story was formatted and the overall plot of this, but the humor did not always land for me.

I received an ecopy of this through netgalley; however, all opinions are my own.

this was a 3 star until the last quarter or so.

wow, i am so glad this book exists. this is somethjng i would have killed to read as a teenager. it isn’t as impactful as it would have been, but it said exactly what me at 15 would have needed to hear.

the distance between now and me being 15 was nice in a way—the main character is selfish and cynical, much like my 15 year old self. though if i had read this as a teenager i might think she is giving 15 year olds a bad name (nope, they are actually just that bad!)
