This book just filled my heart with so much love , hope , and courage . One of the memorable reads that I had this month . Where do I start ? Charlotte and Noah mourned for the loss of the significant parts of their lives . I really loved how the author navigated their situation and how both characters were able to come up with each other . The experience of Noah's new life , it provides us a raw experience on how life changes the least we expect it . His world might be blanketed with shadows but Charlotte was the one who brought thousands of colors by the love he embraced Noah with . The conflicts that they experienced made me sad because even irl there are bad people who would harm others for the sake of their personal interest . Their journey to Europe made me cry non-stop . And I am so happy that they got the happy endings they deserve .

Key takeaways :

• Appreciate every single day you've experienced life.
• In this world , you have people who deeply cares and love for you and don't you ever doubt a single thing about it .
• Feel. Just feel everything . Soak from those experiences . Absorb the lessons .

Not quite sure what I thought I was getting myself into picking this up right after binge-watching In The Dark on Netflix all week last week, but this story was nothing even close to that, nor at all what I expected; it had me bawling my eyes out every other chapter and will likely stay with me forever.

This book was fantastic. Charlotte and Noah were interesting characters who both had a lot of depth and backstory. The way the author writes you really feel like you are seeing the world through their eyes.

Good cast of side characters, although used more sparingly than I usually like but the scenes they were in were meaningful and impactful.

I though Noah’s trek through Europe dragged a bit, although I’m not sure how it could’ve been shorter given the number of weeks that passed and the number of struggles he encountered.

3.5 stars. It was close to a 4 probably as I did enjoy reading it. I think my hesitation is from there being some leaps that felt rushed maybe? But I suppose some of it could really happen that way. Once you set your mind to something a lot can change. I enjoyed Charlotte and Noah as characters!
