One of my favorite reads of 2021. This had been on my list and I had been waiting to read it forever- I knew I would love it and I was right. The widows in the book are funny and I developed a strong connection to all of them, wondering what their desires and typical behaviors were. The mystery in this book was unexpected but executed really well- not predictable at all! If you’re reading this, expect a sweet, sometimes light-hearted but also packed with a punch full of reality, honest, and hopeful book.

This was the first semi serious book I had read in a while.  The story was really good and I loved the characters.  It was not a super light hearted book and was actually quite dark at times but it felt hopeful and told a story that I hadn't really read or seen anywhere else. While it was not the best book I've ever read it was enjoyable.

An incredible nuanced story of strength, sensuality and growth. I was surprised by the attention paid to every side character, how each of their unique stories contributed to the larger whole.

This book was fun, exciting, and endearingly sexy. Took away a half star because the ending was almost too wrapped up, but overall extremely enjoyable.

It’s actually quite nice.

This book has everything, comedy, drama, crime and mystery. It felt like watching one of those typical Indian movies with all the aunties dishing about rumours and gossips.

Something which quite surprisingly for me, the erotic stories were legit erotic stories with no filters (50 shades vibes lol) from the imagination of the Punjabi aunties. I think the short stories within the story were very interesting as they showed what women could come up with if given the opportunity.
