It's always so hard to review an autobiography because how do you judge someone else's life and their telling of it? There were so many times while reading this book that I was brought to reflect on my own mother, sister, aunts, and grandmothers. There was so much nostalgia for me as Mama Tina described Houston of the 80s, 90s, and early 2000's. This book made me giggle, a few parts dropped my jaw to the floor, and I got the eye sweats several times. Tina Knowles is a very gifted storyteller and I'm recommending this book to everyone.
