I really enjoyed this memoir. Tina Knowles has had an amazing life, we know. But it is the internal struggles that we all experience as humans that we can relate to. My favorite portion was the first third of the book where we learn about her family and parents and GALVESTON. This was even better than I anticipated. Great read!

So comforting and inspiring

I loved this book. I was not expecting it, especially with her prominent faith, but the story is right from the beginning to the end were so emotional hearing how much he loves the people around her just made you feel so close to everyone and it was just so heartwarming and emotional narrating when her parents and Johnny died was heartbreaking and some really good narration. I really loved this.

This took me a long time, but it was a me problem, not because the book wasn't good or interesting. I didn't know Tina could sing or that she was in singing groups too. It was wild to hear that the tabloids thought Beyoncé had lied about her pregnancy, when she had actually had a miscarriage. Tina's voice breaks often throughout her narration and those times were tough to listen to. This wasn't my favourite memoir ever, but I do recommend it if you're a fan of Destiny's Child, Beyoncé, Solange, Kelly, etc.
