I loved this memoir! It painted such a vivid and beautiful picture of southern upbringing, forging long lasting family bonds and building a legacy. There were so many delightful moments that shocked and surprised me. What a delight!

Ms. Tina is an amazing storyteller. I absolutely love hearing the lives of Black elders. She is living an incredible life. I love how rooted she is in her Blackness and familial history. And how she has extended it to her children. She is like any woman with the same everyday problems. I would listen to this audiobook again and again!
