God this book took forever to finish. I never planned on reading it, but it was available through the library, and I never finished it the first time I checked it out, so I had to wait to get it back and finish it. I mean, it was alright. I like these books because of the characters, but honestly there's nothing really surprising here. I figured out who the Guardian was pretty early on and not very many of the 'revealed secrets' were very good ones. But I will give Clare credit for not dragging out a relationship for like 4 books before the characters actually have sex. All in all, I just read for the a characters, the story is just background.

I loooovvvee anything that the goddess that is Cassandra Clare writes, but this is pure poetry!! The sexual tension was so palpable, it actually made me shake. The characters are so delightfully human and flawed, but you can't help loving each and every one of them, no matter what. It was like a murder mystery for Shadowhunters, and I enjoyed it immensely! I cannot wait for the next book!

OMG such a good book!!!!!!!!!
This book was just the perfect start for the new phase of the Shadow Hunter world, reading how the new generation is little by little building they're way up was amazing.
Even though this book wasn't fill with the dose of action we're used to from previous Cassie's books, the battle scenes with memorable. I really appreciate the fact that Cassandra made the Clockwork Angel's move and focus more on giving a proper introduction for the characters and the place they were at after the events of City of Heavenly Fire. The Character development was on point and I'm eternally in love with the Blackthorn children.
I'm not gonna lie, I really REALLY missed the original squad so badddddd, but the characters are so fascinating that you didn't feel the void at all.
Definitely a most read ASAP!
Can't wait to see what Lord of Shadows got for me. (Since the end of this book murdered my soul.... WHY CASSIE WHYYYYYY?!)

Once again, I really enjoyed this book. As per usual, I think that the first books in Cassandra Clare's series are the weakest, but the character work is amazing. I already love the Blackthorns and Emma. I cannot wait to see where we go from here.
I cannot say much about this book, because it spoils all the 115160 other Shadowhunter novels before it. Just know that these books are a lot of fun.

Lo disfruté muchísimo y me gustó, pero siento que no pasó gran cosa en la primera mitad del libro.
