I absolutely loved this trilogy.
It follows Dawsyn Sabar, a young woman who grew up on a ledge of a mountain. All she knew was the cold & survival. The ledge people were given scraps & supplies by Glacians that lived on the other side of the chasm that divided the ledge & the rest of the mountain. The Glacian’s also regular picked those off the ledge during selection day. Those selected never to be seen again.
That’s a short introduction anyway. I normally do not enjoy slow burns or books that do not have constant action.. for me this book was a slow burn. While the trilogy didn’t have my jaw on the floor I loved the book due to the characters & the great detail in what they went through, how it shaped them, & how they felt. Stacey did a wonderful job at truly painting a picture with this trilogy. The parts that felt slow to me were enjoyable because I was learning about the character and what they were feeling & experiencing. It gave each event in the book more significance because I knew what it meant to each character.
I’m sad to let Dawsyn, Ryon, Baltisse, Rivdan, Tasheem, Esra & Salem go lol :( 10/10 read this book.

Stacey McEwan has easily become an auto-buy author. Even the ending was left in a way to keep us curious yet satisfied. This book was slightly slower than the others, but it still stayed so unpredictable & twisty!
