Ania is suddenly able to see people she shouldn't and begins to learn about a whole world she never knew existed, and falls in love with the Sprite (fairy) who is assigned to watch over her. The story itself is interesting, but it is slow in places and seems to drag. There are also some critical scenes that we are told about, but don't actually see. It made their relationship a bit difficult for me to understand. We don't really see the development so I found it hard to believe. I didn't really get why they were in love. Other than that the story was interesting enough that I would read the next book to find out what happens.
