A sequel to her famous book The Hiding Place. When Corrie was miraculously released from the concentration camp she vowed to spread the word of God and share her story with others. Over 20 years she traveled all over the world and within this book is a collection of stories, lessons and miracles that she experienced along the way. Throughout every chapter Corrie explains an event in which she was either affected by someone or she was able to help someone during their time of need. Much of Corrie’s life was spent on the road and though at times it was tiring she knew her purpose in life and strived to ensure her mission was fulfilled. What most surprised me is that she never ceased to stop learning how to be a better person and never claimed to be perfect but was always the first to admit her imperfections and repent for her misdeeds.
Upon reading other reviews of this book some thought she was pretentious at times and were suspicious of her experiences. I for one definitely enjoyed this book and took it for what it had to offer. Who am I to judge and doubt for miracles do happen everyday. ☺️

This book is an engaging series of essays about the author's faith. Corrie ten Boom was sent to a concentration camp as a Jewish sympathizer during WWII. After the war she traveled the earth teaching others what she learned about love and forgiveness in the camp. The essays are well written and thought provoking. You could actually read each essay as a morning devotional if you were so inclined. Each essay provides a lot of food for thought. I'd recommend reading this book after reading The Hiding Place (also by ten Boom). Knowing the narrative arc of her life gave me a better understanding of these essays. Highly recommended.
Corrie's relationship with God is so incredible! How she really prays about everything makes it seem so easy. Habit forming. Natural. I've actually caught myself talking to God like she does... Just straight from the heart and what's really on my mind.
What this lady has gone through and her story is incredible. I could read her books over and over and recommend them to Anyone. I really wish I had the opportunity to meet her in this life.

A true story about the life of a woman who wandered for years bringing others to God. It stirs your faith to read it. Highly recommended.
Not really a follow up to The Hiding Place as it says. Where as The Hiding Place is a narrative of Corrie's experiences hiding Jews is world war 2 and the consequences of that, this is more of a series of episodic recollections from Corrie Ten Boom mainly after the war.
She was an amazing lady and travelled the world well into her old age telling of how God had been with her through the most terrible circumstances. She had earned the right to be listened to. This book however doesn't have the same hold as The Hiding Place. Some of her theology I wouldn't necessary agree with. However I have no question about how powerful her ministry was. She was an amazing woman with a powerful story, it's just this volume didn't quite grip me like The Hiding Place

I’ve read The Hiding Place more times than I can count (even teach it in an Intro to the Holocaust class) and Corrie ten Boom is a personal hero of mine. This book doesn’t have as clear of a narrative line making it harder to follow. Still, it is full of Corrie’s wisdom and is inspiring and thought-provoking.
This little biographical book contains stories by Corrie Ten Boom, sharing what she did when she left the concentration camp after World War II. As a result of her sister’s faith, she is obedient to what she feels God is asking her to do next, and she begins to travel round the world sharing her story. With many unexpected events, miraculous encounters and thoughtful explorations of faith, all in Corrie’s gentle narrative tone, this is a beautiful and inspirational book.
